Turismo de Portugal – Tree Planting activity in Castanheira de Pera

Development Area: Reforestation/ Corporate Social Responsibility 

In the summer of 2017, a large area in the interior of Portugal was affected by wildfires.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, Turismo de Portugal organized a tree planting activity in Castanheira de Pêra on 19th of December 2017. Almost 90 employees participated in this social and environmental responsibility activity.

Turismo de Portugal is also currently committed to reducing its carbon emissions and its environmental footprint to zero.

And after 7 months, the trees are growing fast!

This initiative aimed to contribute to the reforestation of this area severely affected by wildfires.
