Slow Food (Slow Wine)

Slow Wine is an extension of the Slow Food philosophy applied to the wine world. It challenges industrial winemaking practices and celebrates producers who prioritize environmental care, territorial identity, and ethical labor.

The Slow Wine Manifesto advocates for:

  • Transparency in production and sourcing

  • Respect for terroir, meaning wines should reflect the soil, climate, and traditions of their origin

  • Sustainable viticulture, including organic or biodynamic farming

  • Fair working conditions for vineyard and cellar workers

  • Minimal intervention in the cellar, avoiding excessive chemical or technological manipulation
