Nau mai, haere mai ki Aotearoa — We’re heading to New Zealand!
We’re heading to New Zealand for the Organic and Biodynamic Winegrowing Conference, taking place from June 16–18, to present various aspects of our work.
- Presentation: Saving Every Drop – Bringing Water Footprint to the Forefront of Wine’s Impact
- We will seek to reframe water footprint as wine’s invisible impact. The session challenged the industry to go beyond litres and consider what kind of water is used —green, blue, or grey— highlighting how existing tools like LCA and Water Footprint Accounting often fall short in capturing this complexity
- Tuesday, June 17th.
- Presentation: Unpacking Wine – Rethinking packaging’s impact
- A session focused on wine packaging seen through an environmental lens. We’ll go beyond carbon, beyond the container, zoom out to explore packaging as both system and signal—and bring real-world examples to the New Zealand conference stage.
- Wednesday, June 18th,
- Roundtable on Packaging futures: Where is New Zealand wine heading?
- Following our presentation, we’ll also be part of that panel discussion with Nadine Worley – Fugitive Wine, Stephen Coleman – Blackbird Labels, Angus McDonald -Chandler Glass & Packaging, Isaac Pardo & Miguel Godhino – Interpack.
Our members will also be marking their presence:
- San Polino (Montalcino, Italy) will deliver two presentations, including one on Living Vineyards, highlighting our Collaborative Network.
- Tapada de Coelheiros (Alentejo) and Textura Wines (Dão) will be featured in the international tasting, representing organic Portuguese wines.
It’s a great opportunity to share what we’ve been building, connect with like-minded peers, and contribute to the growing global conversation around organic and biodynamic winegrowing.
