Sveva Sernia is an agronomist focusing on Mediterranean farming and agrobiodiversity, with research experience in sustainable farming and agrifood systems in Italy and Spain. She co-founded Morasinsi, a multifunctional farm in Southern Italy based on regenerative viticulture and the production of terroir wines. Located in the Alta Murgia – a semi-arid karst plateau in Apulia severely affected by rising temperatures and advancing desertification – the farm integrates an intensive agroforestry system within the vineyard to preserve and enhance the resilience of local vine varieties to increasing temperatures, improve grape quality, and develop practical models of climate adaptation based on regenerative practices that are both effective and economically viable.
